Combining Efforts In Ending Violence Against Children – A Global Partnership

On February 14th, 2018, the Government of Sweden, the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children and the WePROTECT Global Alliance hosted the Agenda 2030 for Children: End Violence Solutions Summit in Stockholm, Sweden.

To live free from violence is a Human Right. Across the globe, as many as 1.7 billion children have experienced violence in the past year alone. In recognising this right, the End Violence Solutions Summit brought together a variety of actors to share their best practices and experiences in fighting violence against children. These actors included governments, the United Nations, civil society, the private sector, foundation partners, academics and children themselves.

The Summit was an important opportunity for world leaders to acknowledge the levels of violence that children are facing today but also reaffirm their commitments to achieve this goal.
