Child Helpline International founder awarded with Dutch Royal Honour

With just a day to go before International Child Helpline Day 2018, we’re thrilled to announce that Child Helpline International’s founder Jeroo Billimoria was recently awarded a Dutch Royal Honour. She has been appointed Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau, a very special high-ranking order given to people who make an outstanding contribution to society at the international level.

This honour recognises Jeroo’s work in having established and led not only Child Helpline International but also the international NGOs Aflatoun International and Child and Youth Finance International. In the last few years all three of these NGOs have been placed in the global Top 100 NGOs of the world, making Jeroo the only person in the world to have multiple organisations in the list. The Royal Honour and these prestigious recognitions acknowledge and applaud her innovative and ground breaking work with collaborative systems change.

We are incredibly proud of Jeroo!
