Alliance to Better Protect Minors Online announces individual industry commitments

Creating a safe environment for children online is a key area of work for Child Helpline International. We are therefore pleased to know that the 22 leading ICT and media companies of the Alliance to Better Protect Minors Online announced their individual commitments to create a safer and better online environment for children and young people.

The alliance is a joint initiative of the European Commission, leading ICTs and media companies, NGOs and UNICEF and aims to improve the online environment for children and young people. It was launched on Safer Internet Day 2017. This month, the industry members of the alliance announced their individual commitments of how to create a safer and better online environment for children and young people. The individual statements of the companies, including our partners Facebook, Google and Telenor can be found here.
