Rasmus Kjeldahl

Regional Representative for Europe

Being a board member of Child Helpline International provides me the opportunity to contribute my experiences and expertise from an NGO angle in European and international policy making.

As a regional representative for European Child Helplines, I would like to see an even stronger member focus and further internationalization of the organization. I also aim to contribute to a strategy that can strengthen our resources.

Rasmus Kjeldahl is the Executive director at Children’s Welfare, Denmark. He has been responsible for the growth and development of the organization, making it possible to help more children than the organisation was able to do in the past. Children’s Welfare’s ambition is to stop child neglect – especially focusing on child abuse, bullying, child neglect in cases of divorce and in families with illnesses. The organization has 80+ employees and more than 450 volunteers.  Rasmus is a former deputy regional representative for Europe and has also been a member of the Advocacy taskforce at Child Helpline International. He was previously the Executive Director of the Danish Consumer Council (2002-2013), Former Chairman of the  and member of the private office of the Danish Commissioner to The European Commission (1997-2000).
