04.06.2009Annual Report 2008
This report provides an overview of the work that was done by CHI and its member child helplines across the world.

In 2008 CHI continued to work on its mission respond to children in need of care and protection, and use data from child helplines to voice children's concerns to policy- and decision makers. Our vision of having a child helpline in every country of the world was carried out through the several launches of new child helplines which took place over the course of 2008.

The year 2008 celebrated five years of CHI. Five years of growth and development of our role in working with partners to strengthen the child helpline network. It also marks the mid-term of CHI’s current strategic period where the emphasis is on consolidating core services and strengthening our internal monitoring system.

With over 11,4 million (2007) responded pleas for support made to child helplines via the phone, internet, postal services and directly working with children in the local community, child helplines aim to truly listen to and work towards real change for children all over the world.
