08.12.2009Plan International and CHI start cooperation on violence against children
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be a basis for CHI and Plan International to start a pilot project on violence in schools. Together the partners will start to collect data and information on the incidence and forms of violence against children in schools. This data will provide essential insights into the lives of children and how their rights are being violated in place that should be a safe have.
"Plan is very happy with this Memorandum of Understanding. We [Plan International] want to  continue to advocate for children's rights. However that becomes impossible without the data from the child helplines. Without that information it becomes very reciprocal" according to Nadya Kassam of Plan International.CHI is delighted to partner with Plan International and hopes that this MoU will be the lead to a long a fruitful partnership that will help to protect the rights of children around the world. |
